History

1974 Founded on June 29 at a capital of ¥5 million.
Transported canned goods outbound and copra inbound on the trade between Japan and Fiji on the first ship, M/V “St. Sultana”.
Launched a liner service between Japan and South Pacific islands with two 6,000-dwt class vessels.
1976 Opened Osaka Branch to strengthen sales in the Kansai area.
Increased the capital to ¥20 million.
1977 Added a joint Japan/Micronesia regular service with Saipan Shipping Company Inc. and completed its liner network covering almost all South Pacific islands.
Launched a new ro/ro service for vehicle transport using the multi-purpose ship, M/V “Asian Rose”.
1981 Joined the Japan/South Pacific Freight Conference as an associate member.
Increased the capital to ¥50 million.
1982 Increased the capital to ¥95.5 million.
1991 Launched first new company-owned ship M/V “Sea Treasure”.
1994 Set up FSM Line Ltd. in the Federated States of Micronesia.
Shifted the Micronesia service to a joint operation with the company.
1995 Launched a new regular service to Papua New Guinea under the banner of Paradise Service.
Became a full member of the Japan/South Pacific Freight Conference.
1996 Set up Marianas Steamship Agencies Inc. in Guam, the U.S.A.
Commenced shipping agency business in Guam to upgrade services to customers in the country.
Launched a regular service to Australia.
1998 Set up Western Pacific Shipping Co. in the Republic of Palau.
Launched a service to the state of Yap, the Federated States of Micronesia and Palau under a joint operation with the company.
2000 Formed a capital alliance with Toritec Co., Ltd., the ship management company to manage its own fleets.
2001
Increased the capital to ¥99.5 million.
2002 Relocated its head office to Shimbashi, Tokyo.
2004 The 30th anniversary of foundation.
2008 Launched a regular service to Indonesia's Papua province.
