Tramp Service
Kyowa Shipping has a rich experience in tramp shipping.
In 1974 the year of our foundation our very first vessel transported copra from Fiji to Japan, since then we have deployed our tramper services based around the industrial requirements of the South Pacific region.
The Tramp Department, officially established in April 2004, charter vessels to meet demands, our knowledge is based on internal in-depth market analysis combined with close coordination of our clients requirements.
To date we have achieved rewarding results in chartering a total of 9 ships, focusing on small handy bulk carriers and greater coasting vessels.
Taking advantage of the positive relationship with our customers developed through our liner service, we would like to increase our activities in both operating small handy bulkers and also chartering of Japanese new building tonnage.
Our core focus is within the Pacific Ocean including the West Coast USA, Canada and Australia.
